Dasong Wang is a PhD researcher at the School of Architecture and Urban Design, RMIT University, exploring the correlations between Artificial Intelligence technologies, generative algorithmic design, and digital fabrication. His work establishes emerging design approaches that embed Reinforcement Learning into generative design processes for enhancing its performances toward complex design intentions and unpredictable scenarios. Dasong Wang has a multidisciplinary research background involving Machine Learning, generative design methodology, topological optimization, sustainable architecture, and ecological landscape planning. Prior to joining the Tectonic Formation Lab, he completed a Master of Architecture from RMIT and a Master of Arts (Architecture) from Hocheshuler Wismar. Dasong Wang's research contributes to the agenda of Artificial Agency, the establishment of algorithmic frameworks, generative design strategies, and topological optimizations within the lab.
