Hesam Mohamed

PhD Researcher

Hesam is a PhD researcher, funded as part of the RMIT | Boeing Research Alliance, an ARBV Registered architect, and sessional lecturer at RMIT. Hesam’s PhD research is focused on the relationship between large scale robotic 3D printing and carbon fibre reinforcement exploring development of hybrid additive fabrication methods in order to 3D print large scale complex geometries. During his research Hesam has led the robotic fabrication components of a number of large-scale projects at the Tectonic Formation Lab. Prior to joining the Tectonic Formation Lab, he has worked at multiple architectural offices such as BKK Architects, Bruce Henderson Architects, MvS Architects and Edmund & Corrigan Architects in Melbourne with extended experience in medium and large-scale public projects. Hesam’s research contributes to the body of research development focused on large scale robotic 3D printing and carbon fibre reinforcement within the lab.
