Natalie completed her PhD (2022) at the Tectonic Formation Lab where she researched the relationship of living materials, computational design and robotic fabrication. Her work in the lab experimented with the integration of mycelium and robotic 3D printing strategies to create sacrificial formwork bio-scaffolds. Prior to joining the Tectonic Formation Lab, Natalie undertook her Master of Architecture at IAAC in Barcelona and worked in architectural practice in Melbourne. Natalie’s research contributed to the Biomaterial 3D Printing and Real-Time Robotics research agendas within the lab.
Natalie currently works as a generative designer and material creator at Adidas and runs her design practice BioLab Studio.
