WAAM FACADE

2021

This project explores the potential of large-scale metal printing to create a shading facade system. The process of wire arc additive manufacturing was developed to print metal directly on to fabricated metal parts. This process enables the relatively standard parts of the geometry to laser cut and CNC brake folded, while the complex elements are directly printed.
